And So It Is...
Just Like You Said It Would Be

Me June 2009
It is crazy windy in Atlanta. We woke up this morning to yet another massive tree limb down. Nick already has tomorrow off and was planning on using his new saw to chop up the huge tree top in the back yard so I guess this is just a little more work for him. Poor guy. Although it is kinda cute that he took a day off work to use his new saw. hehe. boys.

It's been a lazy couple of days. We pulled out the sofa bed and watched movies the other night. I passed out in it the last 2 nights straight and Nick was kind enough not to move me as I hate being woken up once I've fallen asleep. Natalie came over yesterday for a bit and that was good fun as always. Katie's cute and cuddly. You know, the usual.

We watched:
Ghost Town - Ok. Sorta cute, but very predictable. Bill Murray would have been an awesome lead in this movie.
Stuck - very gorey, totally bizarre, but interesting!
The Dark Knight - MAN that movie is long. I didn't love it, honestly. It was all over the place and nothing was super captivating about it to me.

As for my cold, I give up! This stupid cough is going into my lungs and I am now trying to get a doctor's appointment. It's a nightmare when you don't physically have your insurance card in hand, plus no one seems to understand that "immunocompromised" and "cough in my lungs" means I cannot wait until 2 weeks from today for an appointment, cuz I would likely be dead, thanks. I am so ready to give up on doctors. I feel like they have wasted my life these last 2.5 years. I just wish one of them would really and truly give a shit.  I could rant about it all day but I'll save your eyes the read. The only reason I don't give up is that they are my only hope for health and I can't give up on getting better, not just yet.

I've been drinking hot tea with honey like it's going out of style. I love Morning Thunder when I wake up, Mango Darjeeling for a change, and Twinings English Breakfast Decaf at night. Clearly I am a black tea kind girl. What kinds of tea do you guys drink?

I love hot tea with honey!

I used to like Red Zinger when I was young - it's like kool-aid tea or something, hehe. I like Tension Tamer... Earl Grey is always yummy. If you can find Kava Kava tea, that stuff is awesome (not taste-wise, but it sure is calming!) - it's illegal in some countries, lol.

I need to go tea shopping... hehe.

I've never heard of Red Zinger or Tension Tamer, thanks! I love fruit teas - like rasbperry tea or Tazo Passion.

As for Kava Kava - I am such a scardy cat that I've never tried it. Your comment made me do more research though and it looks like it's not all that bad. Maybe I'll be "brave" and try a cup one day... ;)

Have you ever been to Teavana in the mall? I love all their teas! They are expensive compared to the grocery store but it's fun to go there and try new things.

I've never heard of Teavana... ooooh, it's at Crabtree. I don't do Crabtree ;) lol.

Ha! I don't blame you. I went with Mer and Mom over Christmas and I wanted to scream it was so crazy in there. Mer goes all the time since she lives just a mile from there. I don't know how she stands it.

Ugh, I HATE it. The parking lot situation is RETARDED. I am totally stressed by the time I even make it through the light to enter the damn place - not to mention parking, which is retarded... and then going in and shopping. BLAH! They need to level all of it and start over. I drive many more miles to go out to Triangle Town Center - it's far away, but there is a TON of parking, and it's just wide open and easy to get to.

YES, the parking!! People drive really crazy around there too. I guess it doesn't bother me as much cause most Atlanta malls are that crazy, but the mall in general is annoying. It quit being fun after my teens. ;).

We went to Pharoah's while we were at Crabtree and I got an Orangade. I couldn't leave Raleigh without one!

Teavana!!! How I miss that place!

I like cinnamon apple teas. I think Celestial Seasonings also makes one called Madagascar Vanilla Red, or something - it was good. I have a Mrs. Tea teamaker, I love it.

Oooh, cinnamon apple sounds wonderful!

That Mrs. Tea Maker looks cool! We just have an old fashioned tea kettle. Nick makes me tea all the time. I swear he does something magic to is, it's the best cup of tea ever!

Girl you have asked my kind of question!! I love all kinds of teas :) One of my fave is Moroccan Mint from Republic of Tea. But really it depends on my mood, the temperature, etc.... I'm a tea-aholic.

Oooh, that sounds wonderful! I'm gonna put it on my "teas to try" list!
